Prayer Updates - October 2026

Dear Prayer Partners,
First of all, I want to apologize for getting this prayer report out five days into October. This past week has been extremely busy, and I simply was not able to find the time to sit down and write this until today. Thank you so much for your patience, and even more, thank you for continuing to pray, encourage, and support me through this church planting journey.
This past month has been a bit quieter in terms of big milestones, but I am encouraged by the small steps forward God is continuing to provide. A lot of my time has been spent messaging, emailing, and reaching out to individuals, churches, and businesses about partnering with Breakthrough Church. We have gained some new individuals through those efforts, and while the progress may feel small, I am reminded that there is still a long way to go and that God is faithful in every step.
Praise Reports & Milestones
Continued Fundraising Progress: Much of this month has been focused on reaching out through messages, emails, and personal conversations to find people, churches, and businesses who would be willing to partner financially with Breakthrough Church. We have gained some individuals through these efforts, and I am incredibly thankful for every person who has said yes to being part of what God is doing.
First Event in Eau Claire: We held our first event in Eau Claire with our bonfire night. It was a smaller gathering, but it was still a success! We had a few university students join us, which was especially encouraging as we begin building relationships and creating a presence in the community
Eau Claire Wesleyan Seniors Ministry: At the beginning of September, I had the opportunity to visit Eau Claire Wesleyan and share about Breakthrough Church with their seniors ministry, which meets once a month. It was a great opportunity to share the vision of what God is doing in Eau Claire and to gain additional prayer support. I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to connect with this group and for those who committed to praying for Breakthrough Church
Small Steps Are Still Progress: This month may not have brought a huge breakthrough, but I am grateful for the small victories. Every conversation, every new relationship, and every person who begins to catch the vision is another step toward the church God is calling us to plant.
As we move into this next phase, I want to begin praying on the offense when it comes to fundraising. I believe there are three things that need to work together for a church plant to become what God has called it to be: God's hand moving, people, and finances. We need all three, and I want to boldly ask God to move in each of these areas.
Please continue praying for these ministry needs:
Fundraising: Please pray boldly with me for the full start up cost and goal for Launch season and year one of $310,507 that Breakthrough Church needs. Pray for more individuals, churches, and businesses to partner with this mission. Pray for both large one-time gifts and faithful monthly partners. Most importantly, pray that God would open doors and move people's hearts to invest in what He is doing in Eau Claire.
People: Pray that God would continue bringing the right people into the life of Breakthrough Church. Pray for both core team and launch team members, future leaders, university students, young families, and people who will catch the vision and take ownership of the mission.
God's Hand: Above everything else, pray that God would move. I do not want to build this church simply through good strategy or hard work. I want God's presence, direction, favor, and power to be evident every step of the way.
Trunk-or-Treat: Please pray specifically for our upcoming Trunk-or-Treat event. I believe this could be the first event where we gain significant ground for Breakthrough Church. Pray for a large turnout, meaningful conversations, and opportunities to connect with people in Eau Claire. Pray that families, university students, and others from the community would come and feel welcomed.
Building Relationships: Pray that the people we meet at Trunk-or-Treat would not simply attend an event and disappear. Pray for genuine relationships to begin and for those relationships to create opportunities for people to hear about Breakthrough Church and become part of what God is building.
Friendsgiving in November: Pray that Trunk-or-Treat would create a natural bridge into our Friendsgiving event in early November. Pray for wisdom in inviting people, and that many of the people we meet will come back, connect more deeply, and begin taking steps toward the church community.
Continued Presence in Eau Claire: Pray that God would continue opening doors for me to meet people, serve the community, and build relationships throughout Eau Claire. Pray especially for opportunities to connect with young families and university students.
On a personal note, I would also appreciate continued prayer for:
Housing Location: Pray for God to open the door to the perfect living situation and location for me as I move down to Eau Claire.
I am reminded this month that church planting is not always about seeing huge breakthroughs every single week. Sometimes it is about faithfully taking the next step, trusting God with the results, and continuing to move forward even when the progress feels small. There is still a long way to go, but I am excited about what God can do when we pray boldly and step out in faith.
Thank you again for every prayer, every encouraging message, every introduction, and every act of support. I truly could not do this without faithful prayer partners walking alongside me. Please keep praying with me as we move forward—not just asking God to provide what we need, but asking Him to move powerfully and make His presence known through Breakthrough Church.
